Background: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are major health problems that require early detection efforts through screening activities. The successful implementation of NCD screening in the community is influenced not only by the availability of services but also by health perceptions and the community's willingness to pay for such services. Objective: The Health Belief Model (HBM) can be used to explain individual perceptions in making decisions related to health behaviors, while willingness to pay (WTP) reflects an individual's willingness to pay a certain amount of money to obtain health services. This study aimed to determine the relationship between HBM and WTP for NCD screening services provided during Car Free Day activities. Methods: This study employed a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The respondents were members of the community attending Car Free Day who met the study inclusion criteria. HBM and WTP data were collected using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were then analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with Spearman's correlation test. Results: The results showed positive relationships between the HBM perceptions and WTP for NCD screening services, particularly Perceived Benefit (r = 0.707), followed by Cues to Action (r = 0.659) and Self-Efficacy (r = 0.413). Conclusion: These findings indicate that strengthening perceived benefits, cues to action, and self-efficacy related to NCD screening may contribute to increasing the community's willingness to pay for NCD screening services. Integrating these factors into health promotion strategies may help encourage greater utilization of NCD screening services.References
